Niles soccer captures first victory with 10-0 shutout of Tigers

The Niles varsity soccer team captured its first victory of the season Thursday night with a 10-0 Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference West Division decision.
The Vikings outscored Benton Harbor 8-0 in the first half and ended the second half early with two more goals.
Niles outshot the Tigers 26-0.
Evan McCullough and Kyle Kidwell each scored three goals to lead the Vikings, which are now 1-3-1 on the year and 1-1 in the West Division. Jeff Miars scored one goal and had two assists.
Other scorers for Niles were Gilles Nsengiyumva, Brian French and Ernest Ndagije. Blaise Nsengiyumva, Kidwell, Gilles Nsengiyumva and French also had one assist each.
The Vikings host Bridgman Tuesday for a non-conference match.
