ST. JOSEPH – As part of its visiting artists program, Lakeland HealthCare recently hung original works from the following 11 local artists: Don Ames of St. Joseph; Brooks Bouwkamp of Stevensville; Rosemary DeGregorio of Stevensville; Juliann Edgar of Berrien Center; Cathy McCormick of South Bend, Ind.; Marilyn Mussman of St. Joseph; Marvin Raglon of St. Joseph; Michel Marie Rose of St. Joseph; Angle Schultz of Niles; Sherrie Styx of Dowagiac; and Mona Witt of South Bend.

Selected pieces are now on display in the Welcome Center at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, located at 1234 Napier Ave., St. Joseph.

The current display includes paintings, photography, pottery, fiber and handcrafted jewelry.

All works are selected using guidelines to help Lakeland provide an uplifting environment for patients, caregivers and community members.

Lakeland displays participating artists’ business cards and pricing information so that the public can purchase works from the artists directly.

Lakeland does not receive any type of commission.

Artwork will remain in place through the spring, when new pieces from local artists will be juried and featured.
