I guess that Brady's Bunch was just too much for Peyton's Pack Sunday afternoon in Foxboro.
The New England Patroits made quick work of the Indianapolis Colts even though the 'experts' said they couldn't continue their winning streak.
For the past week I have watched expert after expert appear on television forecasting the fall of the Patroits.
No way they would keep up their winning streak.
The streak is going to end at 13 in a row.
Well guess what, those experts don't know jack.
Make it 14 straight and a spot in Super Bowl XXXVIII in 13 days.
Houston, we have a problem.
Not only were the Patroits not supposed to win, but neither were the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers were supposed to fall to Dallas, then last week to St. Louis and then yesterday to Philadephia.
Yet here we are on Monday morning and the Panthers are headed to Houston to play in the Super Bowl.
Defense wins championships, offense wins games.
Both the Patroits and Panthers play outstanding defense. Their offenses are just good enough to get the job done.
So don't expect a high scoring affair in Houston on Feb. 1.
I figure that this will be one of the lowest rated Super Bowls in history.
I don't know how much national attention either of these teams will draw.
I think everyone wanted to see Petyon Manning and Donovan McNabb square off in a Super Bowl showdown.
Weather permitting, this will be a busy week for the Chieftains.
Dowagiac basketball will host Cassopolis on Tuesday night and I expect a much different game than the first one.
The Rangers are playing better as are the Chieftains. This game is for bragging rights and I think both teams will be up to the challenge.
