NILES -- Dowagiac's varsity soccer team will have to go to Vicksburg if it wants to return to the Division 3 district soccer finals.
Dowagiac, which, reached the finals last year, has a new coach in Michael Williams. Williams coached the boy's team last fall.
The Chieftains will be joined by Allegan, Paw Paw, South Haven, Three Rivers and Vicksburg.
The Niles varsity soccer team will take the familiar drive to St. Joseph for its postseason tournament this season. The Bears are hosting the Division 2 District Tournament May 27-31.
Joining the Vikings and St. Joseph at that tournament are Benton Harbor, Mattawan and Lakeshore.
Lakeshore is the defending Division 2 District champion.
The winner of this year's tournament will advance to the regional tournament at Portage Northern.
Brandywine and Buchanan will have a lengthy drive for their postseason tournament. Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic Central is hosting the Division 4 District Tournament.
Hackett, the defending champion, will also welcome Bridgman and Kalamazoo Christian for the tournament. The winner moves on to regional play, also at Hackett.
