Buchanan wins second tournament is as many days

Fresh off its 11th straight Lakeland Conference tournament victory on Friday, the Buchanan tennis team won the North Muskegon/Reeths-Puffer tournament Saturday.
The Bucks, ranked No. 1 in Division 4, scored 23 points to win the title.
Traverse City West finished second with 15 points.
Muskegon Reeths-Puffer finished third with 11 points and North Muskegon took fourth with nine points.
Lake Michigan Catholic finished fifth with seven points and Cadillac took sixth with six points.
The Bucks won all but one flight Saturday. Bryce Coward went 3-0 at No. 1 singles; Ryan Evick went 3-0 and No. 2 singles; Sean Jesse went 3-0 at No. 3 singles; A.J. Mottl went 3-0 at No. 4 singles; Brandon Schmeling and Chad VanLue went 3-0 at No. 1 doubles; Alex Flood and Alex Gordon went 3-0 at No. 2 doubles; and Doug Summers and Mike Otwell went 3-0 at No. 3 doubles.
The Buchanan No. 4 doubles team of Dan Summers and Korey Camp finished second with a record of 2-1.
It was the third straight year the Bucks have won the same tournament and the fifth tournament title of this season for Buchanan.
The Bucks host the Division 4 Regional Tournament Friday at Leeper Park in South Bend, Ind.
