The Village of Cassopolis announces its first Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 3.
Activities include music, refreshments, hanging of ornaments and testimonies, culminating in the lighting of the Christmas tree.
The community is encouraged to come out and celebrate Christmas.
Activities begin with caroling. Anyone can carol. Just meet at the log cabin by 5 p.m.
A wagon ride will transport carolers, who will sing at homes with Christmas decorations and return to the log cabin no later than 6.
The celebration will continue when they return to the log cabin with light refreshments, hanging ornaments brought by residents and personal testimonies of why residents are proud to live in Cassopolis.
Ornaments can be family ornaments, prayers for the village or any type of ornament you would like to donate to Christmas in Cassopolis decorations.
There is no guarantee ornaments will be returned.
