Area restaurants are doing their part for United Way of Southwest Michigan this summer starting with an event on Tuesday at the Fireside Tap & Grill in Edwardsburg.
The Fireside has pledged 15 percent of net profits to United Way for the evening of Tuesday. Fireside will repeat the promotion on Sept. 14.
“This is a great way for restaurants to show their support for United Way efforts,” said United Way campaign manager Retta Curneal. “It also gives people another way to support United Way. You have to eat, right? Why not enjoy some great food while supporting a great cause.”
Also on Tuesday and every Tuesday throughout the summer, Tosi’s Restaurant in Stevensville will offer a special Dine United Menu. When someone orders off of the menu, $1 will be donated to United Way.
The Wounded Minnow Saloon in Dowagiac will also participate in Dine United on Wednesday, June 9.  On June 9, customers can Dine United in Dowagiac with 15 percent of the net profits going to support the United Way of Southwest Michigan.
