Edwardsburg was the site for the opening round of the Class B District tournament between the Lady Eddies and the Lady Trojans of Sturgis.
Sturgis eliminated Edwardsburg from the post season with a 52-26 victory Monday night.
Sturgis opened the first quarter with a solid man-to-man defense that led the Eddies to create unforced errors which gave Sturgis a 10-4 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Lady Trojans began the second quarter with a 11-0 run to open up the game offensively. The Lady Trojans only allowed the Eddies to score four second quarter points.
Sturgis took a 27-8 lead into the intermission.
Sturgis continued to use the man-to -man defense throughout the third and fourth quarters which seemed to rattle the Lady Eddies. Sturgis led after the third quarter 43-15, and dribbled away with an 52-26 victory.

Pennfield…35
The Second game of the Class B District Tournament placed the Vicksburg Bulldogs against the Pennfield Panthers of Battle Creek.
The Bulldogs took an early 14-10 lead after the first quarter by their scrappy, physical play. They continued to use their outside shooting to gain some separation, but the Panthers inside game of Sara Lowe was giving the Bulldogs fits. Vicksburg led at halftime 23-20.
The Panthers began to claw back into the game with their inside presence and outside shooting to take the lead after the third quarter 32-31.
The Panthers tightened up their defense in the fourth quarter by only allowing the Bulldogs to score four fourth quarter points which sealed a 41-35 victory over Vicksburg.
Battle Creek was led in scoring by Sara Lowe with 11 points, Amy Myers with ten, and Andrea Fishnick with nine points.
Alysse Thomas led the Bulldogs with 13 points, Cait Barrow added nine, and Sam Meyers with six.
