Eddies, Rangers post big victories

CASSOPOLIS - Midwest Energy Cooperative is encouraging its members and the community at large to help "Stuff-A-Truck" for families in need this holiday season. The third annual Stuff-A-Truck event will be Saturday, Oct. 23, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cooperative officials are encouraging members and the general public to stop by one of the four drop-off locations to donate non-perishable food and miscellaneous household items. Donations will benefit Helping Hands of Cass County, the Edwardsburg Food Pantry and Survive Inc. of Mattawan, organizations providing food and other emergency supplies and support to families in need.
Volunteers and donors will be stuffing co-op vehicles at the following locations:
Dowagiac - Felpausch, 56161 M-51.
Cassopolis - Harding's, 445 E. State St.
Edwardsburg - Harding's, 68977 M-62, in cooperation with the Edwardsburg Lions Club and Fire Department.
Paw Paw - Felpausch, 847 S. Kalamazoo.
People unable to stop on the day of the event may bring donations into one of the offices during the week of Oct. 18.
Co-op offices are located at 901 E. State St., Cassopolis, or 59825 S. LaGrave, Paw Paw.
In 2003, more than one ton of food was donated through the Stuff-A-Truck event.
