EAST LANSING – Tickets for six of Michigan State’s seven home football games in 2009 are now on sale through the Spartan Ticket Office.

Single-game tickets are available for all Michigan State home games, except Michigan (Oct. 3). Single-game tickets are priced at $49.

The Spartans open the 2009 home schedule with a two-game homestand: Sept. 5 vs. Montana State and Sept. 12 vs. Central Michigan.

Michigan State begins the October slate with an Oct. 3 showdown against archrival Michigan (available through the season-ticket package only).

The October home schedule also features an Oct. 17 Homecoming matchup against Northwestern and an Oct. 24 prime-time TV game against Iowa. The Spartans kick off the final month of the regular season with a Nov. 7 non-conference contest against Western Michigan and conclude the home schedule Nov. 21 against Penn State.

Football season tickets – including the Oct. 3 game against Michigan – are still available through the Spartan Ticket Office (priced at $308 for the general public, $252 for faculty/staff, $231 for Family Plan and $136 for students).

The Spartan Ticket Office, located in Jenison Field House, is open weekdays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Michigan State has ranked among the NCAA’s top 25 in football attendance each of the last 53 seasons, including No. 20 in 2008, averaging 74,858 fans per game.

A total of 524,005 fans passed through the Spartan Stadium turnstiles for seven home games in 2008, as Michigan State drew more than half a million for just the third time in school history and the first time since 2003. Last season, Michigan State sold 58,708 season tickets.
