CASSOPOLIS -- A pancake and sausage breakfast to benefit Lance Purkhiser will take place Saturday, Dec. 13, at the United Presbyterian Church, across from Arby's.
Lance is a local farmer who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2001. Lance and his wife Diann travel approximately every 60 days to Duke University in North Carolina for treatment and testing.
A donation of $5.75 for adults and $2.75 for children 11 and younger includes pancakes, sausage and a choice of milk, orange juice or coffee.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds go to Lance Purkhiser.
There will also be a bake sale during the breakfast, which runs from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.
