Scanlon home run not enough

A busy week continued for the Dowagiac baseball team as St. Joseph came calling Wednesday.

The Chieftains were unable to pick up a win in either contest as the Bears won 18-1 in five innings and 7-4 in the nightcap.

In the first game, Logan Pellow had a double, while Tony Brooks singled and drove in the lone Dowagiac run.

In the nightcap, Brett Scanlon hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh.
