BERRIEN COUNTY — The Berrien County Circuit Court judges announced Wednesday that Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Amy Byrd has been unanimously appointed Prosecuting Attorney for Berrien County. Byrd succeeds Steven Pierangeli, who resigned effective June 3.

Byrd will hold the Office of Prosecuting Attorney until a successor is elected at the next general November election in the manner provided by law and qualifies for office.
