Marlene Dale (Jewell) Davidson, 78 of Bolingbrook, IL formerly from Buchanan, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

A private family memorial will be held at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan, Michigan on Friday, June 21st at 12pm. Everyone is welcome to join us for a Celebration of Life luncheon to follow at 1pm at the Redbud City Center. 131 South Oak St, Buchanan, Michigan. Marlene was born on Jan. 3, 1946, to Lorren Jewell and Audrey (Wilcox) Jewell in Youngstown, OH. She graduated from Buchanan High School, class of 1964.

Marlene worked in the travel industry for 32 years. She travelled extensively around the world to more than 50 countries. She most loved her position as Travel Director for the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations. Her favorite destinations include Cuba, Papua New Guinea, Bhutan, Iran and anywhere remote.

Marlene will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a cherished member of her family, known for her contagious laughter, sharing her extensive and exotic travel experiences and most importantly her love for her family.

Marlene is survived by her sisters, twin Marilyn Dowding of Fresno, CA, Judy (Jack) Accola of Prairie Du Sac, WI; daughter, Shelley (Steve) Perry of North Granby, CT; son, Eric Davidson of Niles, MI; and daughter, Elizabeth Houchin of Bolingbrook, IL; grandchildren, David Perry, Lindsey Perry, Taylor Davidson, Damon Davidson, Noah Davidson, Tuker Davidson, Crasaeda Sanchez, Isaiah Sanchez, Anessa Sanchez, Angelina Houchin, Anakin Houchin; great-grandchildren, Haidyn, Blayne, Myla, Jay Dyn, Cayden, Olivia, Lilyana and Aksel.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorren and Audrey Jewell and great-granddaughter Kaylee Rose.
