Andrew T. Haug, known as Andy to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024 following a debilitating stroke. Andy was born on Sept. 22, 1952, to John and Joane (Pyka) Haug in Muskegon, MI. Andy graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central in 1970 and later obtained an Associate degree from Muskegon Community College, a Bachelor of Business degree from Western Michigan University, and an Accounting degree from Grand Valley State University. For many years, Andy worked as a CPA and financial advisor. Prior to retirement, Andy was employed by the Scarpone and Company firm in Niles, MI. Andy was faithful to his Catholic upbringing throughout his life. Drawn to Notre Dame University, Andy spent many Saturday afternoons there to enjoy a football game. Andy kept up on current events and often enjoyed a book, magazine, or newspaper on the beaches of Lake Michigan. Andy will be remembered for his love of basketball, witty sense of humor, and his appreciation for a wide genre of music. Those who knew Andy will miss him dearly. SURVIVORS include a brother, Bill (Jane Curtis) Haug of Spring Lake; two sisters, Joni (Dan) Warren of Spring Lake, and Anna (Greg) Moss of Muskegon; nieces and nephews:  Mike Haug and his children Adam and Ryan, Patrick Haug; Jessica (Mason) Makram; Maddie Moss, Lauren Moss and Drew Moss; and cousins Bob (Carol) Pyka and Walt Pyka. Andy was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Haug.  The Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at St. Francis de Sales Church-Marian Chapel. Burial took place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  MEMORIALS to the Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.  Share memories with the family at the online Guest Book at www.sytsemafh.com.  Arrangements by the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S.
