Roundup: Bobcats sweep Titans; Raiders sweep Rangers

ST. JOSEPH — The No. 11-ranked Brandywine baseball team stepped out of Conference to face host Michigan Lutheran Monday.

The Bobcats swept the Titans 13-1 and 11-1 to improve to 13-3 on the year.

In Southwest 10 Conference action, host Cassopolis was swept by Decatur, 4-1 and 9-4.

Ethan Adamczyk and Mason Simmons combined to allow one run on seven hits in the opening game against the Titans.

Brandywine used a 10-run fifth inning to blow open the close contest.

The Bobcats finished with seven hits. Robby Dillard tossed a no-hitter to earn the victory.

In the nightcap, Brandywine, which scored three runs in the fourth and four more in the sixth to turn the game into a rout, had six hits.

Jaremiah Palmer had a double for the Bobcats.

 

Decatur at Cassopolis

Gage Mitchell took the loss for the Rangers in the opener, despite allowing just seven hits.

In the nightcap, Trystan Grannt suffered the loss as he too allowed seven hits.
