Eddies fourth, Niles fifth at Wolverine jamboree

BUCHANAN — The battle for the Wolverine Conference golf title continued at Orchard Hills Country Club Monday.

Otsego earned a five-stroke victory as four teams continued to shuffle the running order at the top.

The Bulldogs shot a 171 to get past Vicksburg and Plainwell, both of which shot 176. The Bulldogs had won the previous jamboree, which they hosted.

Edwardsburg was fourth with a 182 and host Niles fifth with a 187.

Riley Briggs, of Vicksburg, captured his second medalist title of the season as he shot 38.

Edwardsburg was led by Andrew Kurowski, Carson Baker and Maverick Gates, all of whom shot 45.

Landon Martin and Gavyn Luke led the Vikings with a 45.

Otsego is hosting the next jamboree today, while Plainwell and Paw Paw will host a jamboree doubleheader Monday.
