EAST LANSING — At halftime of the girls Division 3 state championship basketball game at the Breslin Center at Michigan State University is a defensive battle between Arbor Prep and Brandywine.

The Bobcats scored the game’s first five points, but were outscored by the Gators 15-4 the rest of the first half and trailed 15-9 at halftime.
