Jefferey S. Ferrier, 60, a lifelong resident of Dowagiac passed away on Sunday morning, Jan. 7, 2024 at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 11, 1963, in Niles, the son of Raymond and Carol (Johnson) Ferrier.
Jeff was a 1983 graduate of Dowagiac Union High School, where he remained an avid fan of Dowagiac Football. He had a kind and gentle soul and loved his nieces and nephews, who were always a priority in his life.
Surviving are his mother — Carol Ferrier; brothers — Raymond Jr (RaiAnn) Ferrier and Thomas Ferrier; sister — Robin (Danny) Mathews; six nieces and nephews — Nicholas (Lynnea) Ferrier, Julia (Sai) Myint, Michelle Ferrier, Bethanie Mathews, Kalionna (Tyler) Fink and Yzabelle Mathews; four grandnieces and a grandnephew.
Preceding him in death was his father – Raymond Ferrier Sr.
A service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 15, at Clark Chapel and Cremation Services-Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center Street, Dowagiac. Pastor Stacey Wilder will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 p.m., on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Jeff’s name may be directed to Dowagiac Youth Football or Dowagiac Youth Baseball and Softball Association.
