Brandywine’s Ward a repeat champion at Provencal Invitational

GRAND HAVEN — Two pins and a forfeit victory earned Brandywine’s Maddison Ward the 170-pound championship at the Adam H. Provencal Invitational in Grand Haven Saturday.

Ward pinned Claudia Hernadez Cardenas, of Holt, in 1:18 to open the tournament. She received a forfeit victory from Shayla Barrett, of Williamston, to advance to the championship match.

In the finals, Ward pinned Grand Haven’s Isabelle Wisenbaugh in 2:59.
