NILES — After wrapping up his career at Brandywine High School, senior Bode Bosch has signed a national letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Bosch, a first-team All-Lakeland/SAC honorable mention performer last fall, was contacted by the Pilots about continuing his career.

“I received an email from their recruiter asking if I was interested in playing tennis for Bethel,” Bosch said. “I visited the campus and took a tour of the school. Bethel being a Christian-based university aligned with my beliefs and I thought it would be a great fit.”

Bosch said that having numerous international students on the men’s and women’s tennis rosters was also intriguing.

“I visited other schools for tennis, but I really liked Bethel,” he said.

Among them were Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, Manchester University in Indiana and Thomas College in Maine.

Bosch, the son of Diana Marie and Vincent J. Bosch, will major in business finance.
