Cassopolis’ Rylie Burks, Alford first-team all-conference

CASSOPOLIS — Southwest 10 Conference volleyball champion Centreville and runner-up Decatur both had three players named first-team all-league.

Cassopolis, which finished third in the final standings had a pair of first-team selections and six overall picks.

Earning first-team all-conference for the Rangers were Rylie Burks and Atyanna Alford. Ryley Bowsher and Ella Smith were second-team selections, while Mackenzie Boyer and Tori Burks were honorable mention picks.

Abby Baushke, Toni Coulson and Gracie Smith were first-team selections for the Raiders, who had Makenzie Pattison earn second-team honors. Mallory Kelly and Sienna Potter were honorable mention selections.

Marcellus’ Talan Hiemstra, who signed a national letter of intent to play at Southwestern Michigan College in the fall, was the Wildcats’ lone first-team pick. Clare Flory and Olivia Hicks earned honorable mention.
