Bobcats’ Ward pins her way to title at East Jackson

JACKSON — Maddison Ward, of Brandywine, dominated her weight class in winning the 170-pound division at East Jackson Invitational Friday.
Ward pinned all four opponents to claim the crown.
She pinned Alyan Walker, of Jackson, in 1:31; pinned Jenna Fendler, of Waterford Kettering, in 1:20 in the quarterfinals and pinned Nixie Theibert, of Huron, in 1:33, in the semifinals.
In the championship match, Ward pinned Carlee Osborn, of Marcellus, in 2:30.
Hannah Kubisiak finished fourth for the Bobcats as she went 2-2. Kubisiak was pinned by Athens’ Jasmine Hall in 1:26 in the consolation finals.
