Michael Scott Mortimore, 21, of Marcellus/Dowagiac, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020.

He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on June 5, 1998, the son of Daniel Scott Mortimore and Tammie Jo Mortimore.

Michael graduated from Dowagiac High School in 2017. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing softball and played pool on league. He Loved to hunt and fish. Michael was a big Michigan State fan and he loved all sports.

Michael is survived by his parents; one sister, Danni Mortimore, of Dowagiac; two brothers, Christopher (Nakita) Bush of Union, Jered Wiles of Marcellus; grandparents Mike and Peg McHugh, of Portage, Bob and Deb Mortimore, of Dowagiac and Gloria Goodrich, of Marcellus; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Weston Goodrich.

Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to the family to offset expenses, a Go Fund Me account has been set up.
