SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN — Friday, the Berrien County Health Department reported an additional COVID-19 death.

The victim was a woman over the age of 80. Her death brings the county’s total COVID-19 death toll to 28. As of 3 p.m. Friday, the county reported 484 positive COVID-19 cases and an additional 182 presumed positive cases. In the county, 300 individuals have recovered from the virus.

To date, Cass County has reported 50 confirmed cases of COVID-19, two deaths and 18 recoveries.

Van Buren County reported 106 cases, five deaths and 26 recoveries.

Statewide, there have been 50,079 cases of COVID-19, 4,825 deaths and 22,868 recoveries
