VANDALIA — Our Father’s Family Keeper Ministries is changing up its signature free children’s clothing exchange in light of COVID-19.

In lieu of a large community event, the nonprofit will be offering free clothing to families by appointment only.

“Traditionally we have provided children’s clothing, shoes, books and toys. This time, we are expanding ‘The Village Free Store’ to include adult clothing and household items as well,” said Bianca May, the co-founder and executive director of OFFKM.

“We are encouraging anyone interested to give us a call or email us to set up an appointment,” May added. “As a precaution, shoppers must wear a covering over their nose and mouth, and plastic gloves will be provided.’

The Village Free Store is located at 61472 Donald Roadway W. in Vandalia, and is accessible to one family at a time.

To arrange a visit, contact OFFKM via email at ourfathersfamily@ymail.com or phone at (269) 476-1257.

The Vandalia-based nonprofit, which May and her husband, Curtis, formed in 2012, offers a number of other services including youth educational supports, providing furniture and household items for individuals transitioning from shelters into housing, and transportation for those in need of assistance.
