NILES – The City of Niles has made the decision to relocate the Monday, March 23 City Council Meeting to the Utilities Service Center to accommodate the need to provide “social
distancing” for city officials and the public.
Social distancing is a term that refers to allocating a space of five to six feet between all participants during public meetings, training sessions and other functions.
The Utilities Service Center is located at 1265 S. 15th Street. It has been determined that the size of the
truck bay at that location will allow officials the space needed to fulfill the requirements of social
distancing during the current COVID-19 outbreak.
Attendees should enter through the north driveway.
Signs will be placed to direct attendees to the entrance door to the Service Center Truck Bay.
The Niles City Council Meeting begins at 6 pm and is held every second and fourth Monday of each month.
