Pesticide workshop, exam to be offered

BENTON HARBOR — Berrien County MSU Extension announced Monday it will host a restricted use pesticide review workshop for private and commercial applicators from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 12, at its office, 1737 Hillandale Road, Benton Harbor. Registration and refreshments begin at 8:30 a.m.

A fee of $25 covers the review session given by Michigan State University Extension staff.  Fees can be paid in advance by cash or by check payable to MSU.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., private and commercial pesticide exams will be administered by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development at the Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center next to the MSU Extension center at 1791 Hillandale Road.

The cost is $50 for a private use exam and $75 for a commercial use exam.

Checks and money orders only are accepted. Identification and renewal notices for recertification exams are needed in order to take the test.

No exams will be given after 2 p.m.
