Mrs. Tristan Preston is president of the Sister Lakes Elementary Parent Teacher Organization.  Sister Lakes Elementary wants to honor Preston, who spends countless hours making sure the students at Sister Lakes Elementary have a wonderful experience.

Tristan, as well as other members of the PTO, are very involved in the school’s fundraising, and the picture shows some recent goods sold by students.

All proceeds from the fundraising activities go into an account for assemblies, field trips and many other activities for students.

Monthly PTO meetings are hosted with an agenda prepared by Preston.

Other events she has helped plan include the Halloween “Boo Fest” Valentine’s Day dance, Christmas parties, Santa’s workshop, Grandparents Day, end of the year class trips, family fun nights, which include roller skating, and end of the year field day activities. The PTO also donates money earned from fundraisers to each classroom teacher to help with classroom supplies.

Preston is married and has two children who attend Dowagiac Union Schools.  She also is the assistant treasurer for Pokagon Township and enjoys working with 4-H.
