BERRIEN SPRINGS — Everyone in the scoreboard put points on the board for visiting Niles as the Vikings routed Berrien Springs 60-13 in a non-league girls basketball game Monday night.

The Vikings dressed nine players for the game. Four of those players scored two points each, while two more scored four and seven points, respectively.

Three Niles players reached double figures, including Alycia Patterson, who outscored Berrien Springs by herself. Patterson finished with 16 points, five steals, and four assists. Niles also got 15 points and a steal from her sister, Kamryn Patterson, while Amara Palmer finished with 10 points, six rebounds, three steals and three assists.

The Vikings (5-2) jumped out to a 15-4 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Niles led 29-11 at halftime and 43-11 heading into the final eight minutes of the contest.
