BUCHANAN — On Friday, Dec. 20, Honor Credit Union was the sponsor of the three home basketball games at Buchanan High School — boys JV, girls varsity and boys varsity games.

All were against the Parchment Panthers, of Parchment, and all three games were won.

Honor Credit Union threw squishy basketballs into the crowd and handed out various swag and $10 new youth account opening cards at the games. Employees also gave out a $100-valued gift basket to one adult with a $50 Visa Gift Card inside and various items. The winner was  Jon Atkinson.

In between the girls and boys varsity games, Honor Credit Union presented a $3,858 check to Buchanan Community Schools.

Days prior, Lonnie Hoover, Buchanan athletic director, approached the credit union and asked if it would be interested in buying or helping buy a new scoring table for the volleyball, wrestling and basketball games. Honor approved.
