DOWAGIAC — Champions in four out of six age divisions were awarded at the annual Dowagiac Elks Lodge 889 Hoop Shoot at Dowagiac Union High School on Saturday.

There were not participants in the girls 8-9 or the boys 12-13 age brackets.

Taking first place in the boys 8-9 division was Tyler Feirick, while Olivia McIntosh was the winner in the girls 10-11 division. Kenneth Cruz won the boys 10-11 division.

Bree Behnke was the winner of the girls 12-13 division.

Medals were given out for first, second and third-place finishers in each age division. First-place finishers advance to the district competition, which will be in St. Joseph in January.
