I would like to publically thank Dowagiac Police officer Bryan Brinkman for saving my 15-year-old dog.

After 10 p.m. on Oct. 3, officer Brinkman went into the water and mud by the Veto Club and pulled my dog out. No telling how long he was stuck there. He had last been spotted at Mill Pond around 4 p.m. Rocko [my dog] doesn’t like water, so he must have fallen in.

It was hard to tell who had the most mud, the officer or Rocko.

Thanks to all that went out looking for Rocko.
