NILES — Host Niles was swept by No. 5-ranked Mattawan 3-0 in SMAC West Division play Wednesday night.

The Wildcats, a Division 1 team, defeated the Vikings 25-6, 25-20 and 25-18.

Taylor Bailey had four kills and a block for Niles, while Nikki Nate and Zoie Appleberry both finished with three kills, Bianca Pickens had a team-high 16 digs.

 

Brandywine volleyball

BRIDGMAN — The host Bees defeated Brandywine 3-1 in BCS Athletic Conference play Wednesday night.

Bridgman defeated the Bobcats 23-25, 25-18, 25-17 and 25-20.

Kylie Myers returned to the Brandywine line up and finished the night with 16 kills. Bethany Duval and Kristen Alvord added 12 and 10 kills respectively.
