DOWAGIAC — Dowagiac Union High School’s week-long band camp will be hosted throughout the week at Dowagiac Middle School. Monday’s themed day included the movie, “Mamma Mia” as inspiration for students’ and instructors’ attire. Instructors and directors walked around in tropical inspired T-shirts, as students gathered on the field to practice music and drills and learn more about band fundamentals.

Participants in the band camp shared laughs and stories with friends in between set breaks during the morning session of the camp. After a lunch break, afternoon rehearsals commenced with more rehearsals, practices and team building activities. (Leader photos/HANNAH HOLLIDAY)
