Linares, Hill to play in Addix All-Star Game

DOWAGIAC — A pair of Dowagiac seniors will play in the 2019 Addix All-Star Game on Friday at Hope College.

Team Stars will take on Team Stripes with kickoff set for 7 p.m. All proceeds from the game go to Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids.

A total of 93 seniors committed to playing in this year’s game, including Chieftains Nico Linares and Dylan Hill.

Linares and Hill are not the only southwest Michigan players competing in the game as Coloma’s Taequan Shum, Lakeshore’s Kyle Wojahn and Vicksburg’s Caleb Welch, Shane Earl and Grant Deal are also listed on Team Stripes’ roster.

South Haven’s Jaylin Fox is also a member of the team.

Team Stripes will be coached by Ryan Oshnock of West Ottawa and Carlton Brewster of Kalamazoo Central.

Team Stars will be coached by Jeff Dock off Thornapple-Kellogg and Cody Francis of Hopkins. Dock is the son of former Dowagiac and Lakeshore coach Denny Dock.
