NILES — Brady Reichanadter, an eighth-grade student at Ring Lardner Middle School, won a Chromebook for his artwork earlier this month.

Reichanadter’s art was selected for the Meemic Masterpieces art contest put on by the Meemic Foundation. He was one of 50 students who competed against schools in Georgia, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.

The students made artwork that reflected one of the following themes:

• Celebrate your favorite season – fall, winter, spring, or summer

• Show us your favorite school memory

• Selfie

The Meemic Foundation showcased the artistic ability of Ring Lardner’s youth while rewarding the classroom in the process, contest officials said. Scott Morgan, art teacher, will be receiving a check for $300 to be used to purchase art supplies for the art classroom.

Reichanadter will be presented the Chromebook by a representative of Hagen Agency insurance. (Submitted photo)
