Tee time

Chaperone a group of four or five participants, ages 9-11, as they play holes at Blossom Trials Golf Club. It is not required that volunteers have experience in the game of golf. The main objective of the volunteers is to make sure participants are safe, moving along in a timely manner and having fun, said organizers. For more information visit uwsm.org/volunteer.

Box Factory for the Arts seeking volunteers

Help at Berrien County Trial Court

Berrien County Trial Court is looking for a volunteer to be part in the reception area in the Juvenile Division. This person would assist people with questions about when/where their hearings are, welcome people who have come to meet with their Juvenile Probation Officer or therapist, answer the telephone and generally direct people to where they need to be. Bicycle lovers needed

Volunteers are needed at Cycle-Re-Cycle to rebuild and repair bicycles (Cycle-Re-Cycle will teach volunteers), wait on customers, work in bicycle programs with children, teach classes to adults, staff the office, publicity and other tasks. Visit uwsm.org/volunteer to learn more.

Streaming for seniors

Help Region IV Area Agency on Aging to support area seniors on fixed incomes cut the cord and avoid paying thousands of dollars on cable subscriptions. Teach seniors so they know the different streaming options like YouTube, or low-cost alternatives like Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu as well as how smart TVs work and streaming devices that display them. Fernwood visitor greeter needed

Join the Fernwood Volunteer Corps and volunteer with front desk staff. Fernwood is looking for volunteers to greet visitors at the front desk and assist the staff with checking in members and answering phones. Training is provided and all volunteers are subject to an application and background check process in this role. Check out how to apply on uwsm.org/volunteer.

Help repair cars

Transportation is a big barrier for a lot of people in the area, according to United Way representatives. Many people are just one car break down from losing their jobs or being able to get their kids to school. Help New Heights Christian Community Development Association and help people become and stay employed. No experience necessary. Find more details about it at uwsm.org/volunteer.

  Kinexus seeks mobile food truck volunteers

Volunteers are needed to unload, sort and distribute food to community. Some clean-up is required after food distribution. For more information, visit uwsm.org/volunteer.

Help veterans get to the VA Clinic

Berrien County Veterans Services is looking for volunteers to drive the Disabled American Veterans van from designated stops in Benton Harbor, Stevensville, Bridgman, Sawyer, New Buffalo, Three oaks, Galien, Buchanan and Niles to the St. Joseph County VA Health Care Center in Mishawaka. Food pantry workers needed

Salvation Army Niles Corps operates a food pantry which serves Southeast Berrien County and all of Cass County from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday. The organization needs workers to sort donations, keep the pantry area clean and organized, pack pantry bags based on family size and, as needed, assist guests carry bags to their vehicles. It is not necessary for a volunteer to be available every day of the week and shifts may vary. While the pantry is only open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, workers are needed for some hours Monday through Friday. Apply at uwsm.org/volunteer.
