LETTER: M-51/U.S. 12 overhaul sure to cause problems

How nice of MDOT to hold two public hearings and get feedback that means zero to them and their decision. It is all about money and when they install their left turns, flashing lights and whatever else they come up with, the people that live here will get to enjoy it for years to come. Long after that, they will enjoy many years of backup and accidents and they will come up with a new plan that goes to the lowest bidder of our state and it’s hard to believe, but they will have an even more ludicrous resolution.

Have faith that MDOT will pick a safe and efficient plan, half right — it’s all about being cheap.

In reference to all the trucks that do a Michigan left, whatever that is, on Mayflower Road, justify comparing that area with this one is priceless.

I would ask that we have a little money left over for repaving M-51 from the state line to the city limits, but don’t do it, we love driving on this beautiful road.

We sure make a good impress to all traveling through Niles. They think to themselves, “get the heck out of dodge.” Oh, yeah. They did. Don’t waste more of our time. Tear the bridge down and do something more than think or talk about it.
