NILES — Green beer, pizza and a band known for sparking energy will be part of Front Street Pizza Pub’s third annual St. Patrick’s Day this year.

The St. Patrick’s Day party starts at 9:30 p.m. March 15 and lasts until 1:30 a.m. March 16 at the restaurant, 510 N. Front St. in Niles. In addition to specials, the band Ultrafab will perform live. There will be St. Patrick’s Day beads available, and those who attend can take part in giveaways. There will be a $5 cover charge at the door.

Sarah Martin, manager of Front Street Pizza Pub, encouraged people to dress in costume and take part in the festivities.

“St. Patrick’s Day brings in spring and gets people back in the mood of getting out of the house,” Martin said. “People, a lot of the times, have cabin fever, especially in this area.”

With an emphasis on reviving people’s energy, Martin said they selected Ultrafab to encourage people to shake off their winter blues. The dance and party band is known for its covers of popular hits from artists like Avicci to Lady Gaga to Luke Bryan.

“They are always just intense, high-energy group that is great for holidays like St. Patrick’s Day,” Martin said. “They are great at crowd involvement and getting people on the dance floor and keeping them out there. They make for a very fun time.”

She reminded everyone planning to celebrate to drink responsibly and use a ride-sharing service or make a plan to get home safely.

Front Street Pizza Pub opened in 2017 and is known for its deep-dish pizzas and craft beer selection. Customers can also find sandwiches, burgers and various adult beverages rounding out the menu. With the intent to also support local musicians, the restaurant regularly hosts bands.

For St. Patrick’s Day, Martin said Front Street Pizza Pub likes giving residents an option to celebrate the holiday locally.

“It’s always nice to be close to home and celebrate with your friends,” Martin said.
