DOWAGIAC — The sisters of Xi Delta Mu Sorority, along with Kappa Beta, will host their annual soup luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 14 at the First United Methodist Church on N. Lowe Street. A donation of $5 provides a lunch of chicken noodle, cheesy potato or beef barley soup, and homemade dessert. Carry out orders are also available.
All proceeds will benefit E. Root Fitch Camp.
The camp at Cable Lake has been a tradition for thousands of Dowagiac youth since 1941. The camp is open to Dowagiac elementary and middle school students, with attendance, transportation, and meals costing $1 a day. The camp provides nature, sports, art and game activities.
Fitch Camp is made possible and accessible to the children of Dowagiac by the support of many volunteers, contributing donors and organizations across the community, and former campers from across the country. Fitch Camp is a nonprofit agency dedicated to providing quality supervision, leadership and fun activities to the children of Dowagiac.
