Toastmasters speech contest results announced

NILES — Area 21 Toastmasters, featuring clubs in Berrien County, recently hosted their spring speech contests on Wednesday night at Southwestern Michigan College, Niles campus.
Local clubs participating were: Four Flags Toastmasters (Niles), Twin City Toastmasters (Stevensville) and Whirlpool Toastmasters (Benton Harbor).
Jim Matthews from Four Flags Toastmasters was the contest chair. Doug Knapman, also from Four Flags Toastmasters was chief judge. The contest Toastmaster was Gil Michelini from Twin City Toastmasters.
The winners of the International Speech contest were: first place, Brenda Beadenkopf (Four Flags Toastmasters); second place, Dominique McMurray (Whirlpool Toastmasters) and third place, Bob Weis (Twin City Toastmasters). Other participants were Raj Nair (Whirlpool Toastmasters) and Tammy Yeager (Four Flags

The winners of the Evaluation contest were: 1st place, Raj Nair (Whirlpool Toastmasters); 2nd place, Jason Gries (Whirlpool Toastmasters) and 3rd place, Jan Crocker (Four Flags Toastmasters). Bob Weis (Twin City Toastmasters) also participated in the contest.
The first place winner of both contests will move on to the Division S contest that will be hosted on March 21 at Eaton Corporation in Galesburg.
