William McKinley Carr, 91, of White Pigeon, affectionately known as “Uncle Bill,” died peacefully Wednesday evening, Jan. 2, 2019 in Heartland Health Care in Three Rivers.

He was born March 17, 1927 in Ashley, Ohio, the oldest of five children of Garry and Edna Carr.

William served honorably in the Navy during World War II.

“Uncle Bill” will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by one brother, Thomas Carr of Arizona; one sister, Candace Edson of Michigan City, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Carr; and a brother, Robert Carr.

Family and friends will gather at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019 for a Graveside service in Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers when Mr. Carr will be laid to rest with full Military Honors.

The family prefers contributions in William’s memory be made to Cass County Animal Shelter, 323 M-62, Cassopolis, Michigan 49031.
