Patricia Diane Russell, 62, of Niles, was at home when she lost the battle to a chronic illness and went to be with her Lord on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2018.

She was born in beautiful May 1956 to Hershel and Alison. Occupations she was proud of were legal secretary and homemaker. Her passion in life was her grandchildren. She loved spending as much time with them as she could, and she could keep you for hours talking about them.

Preceded in death by her parents Hershel Weathers, Alison Wirant, stepfather William Poorman and sister Phyllis Carrigan. Patricia is lovingly remembered by her husband Edward Alcala, daughter Alison Stevens (Shawn Stevens), of Niles, son Shane Alcala (Kathie Alcala), all of Niles. Grandchildren: Donte Stevens, Taylor Alcala, Kylie Alcala (Jacob Allison), Tayton Stevens, Alyssa Alcala, Peyton Alcala, Paisley Alcala. Great-grandchildren: Kollin Alcala and Marilyn Allison. Siblings: Debbie Jesswein, Hershel Weathers Jr. (Michele Weathers), Barbara Weathers, Sharon Watson (Ron Watson), Carol Sue Emerick (Ken Emerick), Hershel L. Weathers, Kevin Weathers (Patricia Weathers), many nieces, nephews and friends.

Per her wish she will be cremated, and a celebration of life dinner/memorial service will be by the family at 3 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 29, in the Niles F.O.P. Lodge, 531 N. State St., Niles, MI 49120.
