Undefeated Rangers rout White Pigeon

WHITE PIGEON — Tyrese Hunt-Thompson poured in a game-high 33 points as visiting Cassopolis defeated White Pigeon 76-47 in Southwest 10 Conference boys basketball Tuesday night.

The Rangers (3-0, 3-0 Southwest 10) led 16-5 after one quarter and 36-27 at the intermission.

“We are getting much better on the defensive end,” said Cassopolis coach Ricky Evans.

Cassopolis outscored the Chiefs 60-42 in the second half.

Brayden Saxton added 14 points and Cerious Wilson 11 points to the Rangers’ total.

CASSOPOLIS — Angel Gary scored a game-high 20 points as host Cassopolis defeated White Pigeon 47-31 to win its Southwest 10 Conference opener Tuesday night.

The win also squared the Rangers’ overall mark at 1-1.

The game was deadlocked at 10-10 after one period of play and the Chiefs led 24-20 at the intermission.

The Rangers outscored White Pigeon 27-7 in the second half to rally for the victory.

Sophia Fiala added 12 points for the Rangers, who also got eight points from Jadin Wolfe.

The Chiefs were led by Claycee West’s 15 points.

Cassopolis returns to action Friday night when they play a girl-boy doubleheader at Bloomingdale.
