Sue Evelyn Gurley, 63, of Buchanan, passed away on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at home.

Sue was born Oct. 8, 1955, in Chicago, to the late Wesley LB and Willie Laura Kimbrell.

On Aug. 30, 1976, she married David Gurley at a ceremony in Jasper, Alabama.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, David; son, Landon (Kirsten) Gurley; daughter, Tabitha Gurley; brothers, Dan (Debra) Kimbrell, David (Helen) Kimbrell, Guy (Susan) Kimbrell; sisters, Mary (Victor II) Backus, Patti Kimbrell; grandchildren, Paris Gurley and Taylor Gurley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Willie; and brother, Kim Kimbrell.

Funeral service for Sue will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be made at hovenfunerals.com.
