Catherine May Scott, 93, of Niles, passed to her rest Dec. 2, 2018, in Casper, Wyoming, while staying near her son Gerald Scott.

She was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Syracuse, Indiana, the oldest daughter of Harry and Mildred (Thompson) Wogoman.

In her earlier years, she was a Telephone Switchboard Operator and later worked for Simplicity Pattern, in Niles. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother to her family.

Catherine was married Feb. 4, 1942, in St. Joseph, to Coleman E. Scott, and he passed Nov. 4, 2013.

Surviving are their two sons, Gerald Ernest (Gae) Scott, of Casper, Wyoming, and John Leslie (Kathy) Scott, of Ft. Myers, Florida. There are 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Other survivors are her siblings; Joyce Tieking, of Kalamazoo, Charles Wogoman, of Niles and James Wogoman, of Bristol, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family who preceded her in passing are her parents, her beloved husband, Coleman, a son Kenneth Allen Scott and her siblings; Ella Jean LLoyd Shoemaker, Shirley Wise, Richard Wogoman, Ervin Wogoman, Roger Wogoman and Ronald Wogoman.

Family and friends may gather from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, 26863 West Main St., Edwardsburg.

The Service of Remembrance will be at at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at Hope Community Church, 2390 Lake St., Niles, where all may gather for one hour before the service. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Heiple, pastor of the church. Interment will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles. It is suggested that in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be directed to any local Hospice Caring Service.
