Cassopolis Family Clinic Network recognized with community service award

CASSOPOLIS — Cassopolis Family Clinic Network is the recipient of the Region IV Area Agency on Aging, Inc. 2018 Community Service Award.

Thursday, Nov. 1, Mary Geegan Middleton, CEO of CFCN, accepted the award on behalf of the board of directors, administration, providers, and staff at the AAA annual meeting in St. Joseph.

Lynn Kellogg, CEO of Region IV Area Agency on Aging, said she was delighted to present the award to CFCN.

“They have been providing primary care services to the community since 1964 and are currently building a new Community Health Center facility in Niles – Niles Community Health Center,” Kellogg said. “I present this award in appreciation for CFCN’s extended service in Cass and southeast Berrien counties and collaboration with AAA to empower adults in self-management of chronic illness.”

For her part, Middleton said she was honored to accept the award. She said it highlighted the passion of community health workers.

“They enjoy working with our patients as they learn new ways to improve their health,” she said.

CFCN provides comprehensive primary care, dental, behavioral health, obstetrics and gynecology, pharmacy, and healthcare enrollment assistance services for people of all ages who are uninsured, underinsured, covered by Michigan Medicaid and Medicare along with most commercial insurances.
