Cassopolis woman injured in Howard Township crash Monday

HOWARD TOWNSHIP — A 31-year-old woman was injured in a crash Monday evening in Howard Township, according to Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke.

Police responded to the crash at approximately 5:57 p.m. on M-60 and Pine Lake Road in Howard Township.

According to Cass County police, Stephanie Lenex, 31, of Cassopolis, was traveling west on M-60 when she rear-ended a tractor trailer that was turning off of M-60. Lenex was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital in Indiana for injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the tractor trailer, Christopher Korp, 38, of Niles. Korp had no injuries. Police said they do not suspect alcohol or drugs to have contributed to the crash.
