11th annual Sandhill Crane All Trail Races set for Oct. 13 at Lawless Park

VANDALIA — The 11th annual Sandhill Crane All Trail Races will be held at Lawless Park on Oct. 13.

The Sandhill Crane races include a six-mile marathon, a 10K and a 5K run, as well as a kid’s fun run.

Both runners and walkers are encouraged to participate on the beautiful courses that are set up.

Ron Gunn is directing the event, which includes really cool laser carved wood awards in 30 divisions and custom long sleeve performance tech shirts for all finishers.

The marathon kicks off the race schedule at 9 a.m. with the 10K to follow at 9:30 and the 5K at 10 a.m. The fun run begins at 10:10 a.m.

The race benefits the Dowagiac Rotary Club community charities and the Cass County Parks.
